Wildcats Finish as Runner-ups at Pierce Tourney
The Varsity Wildcats went to Pierce Co and had great success coming back with the runner-up trophy. The Wildcats came out sluggish and dropped their first pool play game to Thomasville but won their next two over Coffee Co and Bacon County. They dropped the 4th game against host Pierce Co but beat Atkinson Co to make it out of pool play as the two seed. The Wildcats beat rival Glynn Academy in the first round of elimination play, they then beat Monroe County considred the team to beat in the tourney. That win put them in the finals against former region foe Brunswick. The Wildcats ran out of gas against Brunswick but put up a great game. There were over 24 teams in the tournament.
Charleston Southern 7 on 7 and Lineman Challenge
The temperatures Saturday were in the 100 plus range most of the day but our players worked hard and had a great showing. The Charleston Southern coaches decided to scrap the tourmanent and make it more of an instructional day due to the heat. With the lack of pressure of winning a tournament they felt coaches would be more inclined to play a lot of players. Our players definitely got a lot of reps on Saturday as we scrimmaged 6 different teams from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
NCAA Eligibility:
If you have any questions regarding NCAA Eligibilty, please refer to the Guide for College Bound Student Athlete:
There is a new (and exciting) rule that has taken effect and we would like to make sure you are aware of how this affects you!
Division II coaches are now allowed to contact recruits June 15th after sophomore year. This means that rising juniors (2014 Grads) can receive unlimited letters, emails, calls and texts. You are also permitted to meet with a coach off-campus.
Take advantage of this new rule! Every email you send to a Division II Coach should include a couple of questions because they are now able to respond back to you. Get those conversations started and even give phone calls a try!
**If you would like more information regarding phone calls I would recommend signing up for the following webinar in your RMS: Making & Receiving Phone Calls!

Gridiron now has a Twitter account to mass text our players. We would like all players to join in order to get out messages in case of bad weather or any changes in our weekly schedule. We encourage Parents to also create a account to get updates for Wildcat football.
The following steps have to be taken:
1. text # 40404
2. Type: follow rhhsfootball
3. If you have a twitter account your done, if not they will instruct you to sign up.
